I’m Dutch born with a heritage of seafarers, teachers, bakers, technicians and hostmanship.
As a child, I was immersed in the flavours of Middle Eastern, Caribbean and African food. My love of discovering new cultures later blossomed from those early experiences.
I’ve travelled to most corners of the world and am inspired by meeting people, nature’s patterns for evolution, native art and nomadic wanderings.
I used to live a corporate lifestyle, innovating financial services. This complex working environment was key to shaping my professional experience. However, I found myself looking for more purpose and relevance.
Travelling through Canada and the Western United States, I decided to change course by starting up my consultancy agency, NOMAD, in 2016. The agency is focused on enabling ambitious organisations to achieve their business goals based on sound customer-centric strategies.
I’ve even become somewhat of a nomad myself! I lived and worked in Aotearoa, New Zealand in 2020. Family time during the pandemic, meeting trailblazing creative people and the stunning natural beauty of the Waitakere Ranges made for a one of a kind experience.
That journey was the spark for creating NOMAD’s Customer Experience for Success program, tailor made for medium to large sized businesses. This program is making a positive impact for several ambitious clients, on both their customers, teams and partnerships.
From 2022 to 2023 I joined start-up Milkymap. I focused on innovating and productising customer journey management consulting services as Director of Transformation.
I hold an MsC degree in Business Management (Marketing and Organisational Design) and Masters degrees in Retail Marketing and Customer Experience Management plus a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma Change Management.
What’s next?
With a diverse portfolio boasting approximately twenty customer-centricity programs, projects, and consulting endeavors, I've been privileged to collaborate with many inspiring individuals and esteemed brands. These partnerships have not only enriched my expertise but have also fueled my passion for driving impactful change in the business landscape.
In 2024, I’ll be focusing on the synergy of customer strategy, lean transformation and customer experience management to foster growth and drive transformation for organisations. Teaching will be top of mind too.
I’m up for a good coffee anytime, love music and contemporary art, hiking, baking bread the artisan way, discovering new vineyards and enjoying wholesome food with family and friends.
